TheRowMix For Lovers - V. Day 2k12

ReggaeSundays Live Podcast! 2-4pm EST

I recently started a podcast at http://mixlr.com/rowjones called Reggae Sundays. It will be mostly roots reggae, 90's and some new stuff sprinkled in. Most likely I will switch it up to some old school dancehall at the end of the show just to have a change of pace. but just lock in to find out.

The site I'm playing from is easy enough to use because you can just sign in with your Facebook account. So no need to actually register! The show will definitely be live every week as I travel through time in reggae music. For you Bob Marley lovers, yes there will be some of that, but i try not to play too much of his music because there is much to reggae then him. He was just the catalyst for the platform

You can always come back to this blog to listen to the live stream as well! It will play automatically at 1pm every Sunday. I also will play randomly during the week, usually by 8pm. Just to fool around. There are already some podcasts posted up on http://mixlr.com/rowjones, So listen to what was played previously as well. Enjoy!!

TheRowMix - 2k11 Dancehall Party

My Final 2k11 mix is here... All Dancehall, all the time. People have been complaining about my mixes not being split tracks, well...I got that for you too. But I warn you, the transitions got messed up in the split. So for the full experience, I have it up as one long track as well. Enjoy!

TheRowMix - 2k11 Dancehall Party

**NEW** Cypher Freestyle

I went to a taping of a new show that's gonna be on MTV (or somethin like that) REDBULL EMSEE. Details on their site HERE and it was amazing. First of all, it was hosted by Bun B, one of the most solid rappers in the game. Never heard a bad verse from him. Second, the judges and performers were none other than, Jean Grae (so sexy), Pharoahe Monch (tried to rap just like him in HS), and the RAKIM (The GOD). The only way it could have been better is if Bun B had actually performed.

Anyway, the show was great and full emcee battle action. The overall winner was PAT G, who was definitely a CHARACTER. He never seemed worried in each competition and smiled a lot. He was hilarious and involved the whole crowd. A true performer. Although I was proud of the dude and admiring him, after the show he ended up remembering me from a show I did months back. Small world this is.

So after the show, I was feeling great. Inspired. Emcee-ish. Low and behold, there was a freestyle cypher goin on, right outside the club with an ultra talented dude I had just met at a recent show, playing drums on buckets. His drums skills seemed to be nice too, by the way. So I jump in to listen and took out my camera to record some footage. Just as I was about to stop, I must have caught the holy hip hop ghost, cause a verse popped in my head, i saw an opening and just went off. I was like this and like that and like this and-uh....you know killin it. So with that said, here's some of the emcees (male & female) that I caught that night. And there's a little of me at the end as well. ENJOY!!

Soulkore Sessions - Episode 1

I have recently become an "audio engineer" for a Public Access show in Malden, Massachusetts entitled "Soulkore Sessions." I also happen to be a part of the company Soulkore (click name for website), which deals in event planning, promotion and artist management.

The show features various artists and community activists/leaders and showcases what they are all about. The show follows somewhat of a talk show format with dialogue throughout and performances at the end. I'm happy to be a part of this show and I wanted to share the first episode with you all.

Did I mention my song "Consider Me" is being used as the title track for the show? I don't think I did. It's only temporary until the real theme is recorded, but... it sounds good so far! My mic sounds nice! If you don't know the song, it sounds like this

And after listening to my song there... Feel free to hear it as part of Soulkore Sessions #1 in 3 Parts ... Enjoy!

~ New Video ~ Row Jones - More Towels/Confusion Live

New video from a recent performance I had at Good Life in Boston, MA. It was a GOOD time. Especially for the people that came, because it was free. All the acts did a great job that night, S/O to F Nice Records/UnregularRadio , Dave Crespo, DexTer, DJ Trick, Solo Sexx, Mainland, Zoom & Donstress, Big Nezz & Jay Magas, and everybody else that came out to support us. And trust me, it's much appreciated. Check out some of the video as well as the Studio Versions below.
